Media Posibilities for Clark Cooper Valves
General Gases and Liquids
All Clark-Cooper valves types have standard modifications to accept gases and liquids of varying viscosity. 100% of our valves are operationally tested with either air, water, or both to approximate the actual application. Seat leakage testing using helium, the 2nd smallest molecule, is an optional test to verify that we meet your sealing requirements.
Best Valves for General Gases and Liquids: EH30, EH40, EH50, EX40, EH70, ER Series
Hydrocarbon Fuels
Internal components can be made from materials compatible with various hydrocarbons of both liquid and gaseous state. Spring loaded “fail closed” designs ensure that the flow of dangerous fluids and gases stops when you need it to.
Best Valves for Hydrocarbon Fuels: EH30, EH40, EH50, EX40, EH70, ER Series
Flammable Gases
Internal components can be made from materials compatible with various hydrocarbons of both liquid and gaseous state (fuels like diesel, jet fuel, as well as different alcohols, etc) . Spring loaded “fail closed” designs ensure that the flow of dangerous fluids and gases stops when you need it to.
Best Valves for Flammable Gases: EH30, EH40, EH50, EX40, EH70, ER Series
Hydrogen
Our unique bonnet structure on the EH Series is being used by leading manufacturers of hydrogen dispensing equipment and has completed rigorous first article inspection. Valves intended for hydrogen usage are often tested with helium prior to leaving the factory to guarantee excellent sealing ability.
Best Valves for Hydrogen: EH30, EH40, EH50, EX40, EH70, ER Series
Corrosives
If your fluid is particularly corrosive, try our ER Series. Component materials are appropriated selected to handle mild to very aggressive corrosives like salt water, acids, etc.
Best Valves for Corrosives: ER Series
Sea & Salt Water
Due to the corrosiveness of salt water and the organic matter found in Sea Water, Clark Cooper has valves specially designed and built with the proper materials to combat against build up within the valve and prevent corrosion of the valve parts. These features include using Naval Bronze for the valve body and Monel for some of the internal parts. Clark Cooper will work with you to design a rotary valve that will address your sea/salt water application needs.

Viscous Liquids
Our ER valve series comes with component variations that allow for viscous fluids. Larger pilot orifices and higher power solenoid coils help to achieve quick open and close times.
Cryogenics
Internal components of the EH30, EH70, and ER series can be modified to prevent sticking when controlling liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and other cryogenic fluids.
